Rebecca Seymour is a contemporary abstract painter living in Vancouver, WA. Born in upstate New York and raised in a small farming town, she relocated to the Pacific NW in 1992. Prior to establishing her art career, she worked in Information Technology for several Fortune 500 companies. She studied painting at Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland, OR. She is a founding member of North Bank Artists Community Project, a non-profit arts organization supporting regional artists. Her current body of work is inspired by intergalactic space exploration, a fascination for her since watching the moon landing on TV 1969. She creates large, light-filled acrylic paintings that capture the beauty and wonder discovered in the cosmos.
